Inspirational Board:Blush & Mauve

blush-and-mauve_page000Choosing a color palette for your wedding can become as difficult as finding your dream wedding gown!  To make this process easier, try creating an inspiration board similar to the one above. Look thru bridal blog and magazines for things you like so that you can put it all together to help yourself decide on a color palette or theme.  Usually we recommend choosing two main colors, and sometimes adding a third color as an accent.  For this particular inspiration board, we choose blush and mauve. The result?  A romantic, fresh inspirational board that is sure to make any guest swoon!  Patent accents like the JCrew pumps, add a hint of hip to even the most posh celebrations.  Pull it back a notch by giving your Bridesmaids a cute pair of pearl earrings to wear with that Alvina Valenta dress-your Mother will love it!

Chic Baby Shower II

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

_0014Catering by Design created an array of “to die for” hors d’oeuvres. Guests snacked on everything from sesame seared tuna on a crisp plantain to shot glasses of tomato basil soup flanked with mini grilled cheese. However, our personal favorite came later in the evening… miniature root beer floats with homemade cookies! Even after all this food, we still found room for It’s Icing on the Cake’s delicious cupcakes. R-J, the awesome Dj of Advance Entertainment, kept the party going by spinning the latest hits (and a few of our personal faves… he knows us too well!) The night was all about celebrating and socializing, but no baby shower is complete without at least one game! In true diva fashion, the game played was “Guess the Celebrity Mom”. Attached the back of each guest was a tag with a celebrity mom’s name. The goal was to figure out the name of YOUR mom. The hard part? Guests could only ask other guests “yes or no” questions. To our fabulous photographer, Phillip Lloyd… your photos rock, but we still want to know how you guessed both Michelle Obama and Dina Lohan (Lindsay Lohan’s  mom)????? At the end of the night, after the food was gone and the guests had left, the best thing was still there… knowing our friends (also known as our vendors) offered their love and support for our Table 6 family. Thank you… it means the world to us!
P.S. The presents were pretty awesome too!

Chic Baby Shower I

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

shannon-shower_page000When Shannon Wilson announced she would be adding a little boy to the Table 6 bunch, our wheels started turning! With a blinged-out invitation, Paper Presence made sure everyone knew this wouldn’t be your typical baby shower. This would be a soiree with specialty decor, funky flowers and signature cocktails! The best of the best came together to make this a chic and swanky shower. Concept Bait created an atmosphere nothing short of fabulous. Under a square tent (thanks US Tents!), they lit the night with shades of lime green lanterns to match the lime green spandex covered tables. Two lounge areas were created on both sides of the tent, complete with hip white sofas and acrylic cubes. Botanica took a modern twist on a traditional favorite. Lime sunflowers, fiddle ferns, hydrangea and green cymbidiums were arranged in a contemporary square vase.

Vendor of the Week: Otto Schulze Photographers

momdaughter-2

This week’s spotlight vendor is the FABULOUS wedding photographer, Otto Schulze. How fabulous you might ask? Not only did he capture the most amazing moments at one of our weddings, but his work has been featured in the annual wedding issue of Rangefinder and he was awarded Bride’s Choice award last year. In addition, the AGWPJA ranked him as one of the Top 15 fine art wedding photographers in the world! Otto truly believes that no two weddings are the same (hey… great minds think alike!), therefore his work never reflects the typical “photography mold”. He is genuine, friendly, polite and just a delight to be around (not to mention he has THE most adorable South African accent).  We feel truly honored to have worked with him!

You may remember Tracy and Paul’s real wedding, which has been featured on a numerous national wedding blogs- Otto was the photographer! See, we told you he was great. Check out his website and blog for more photos! Obviously we recommend him when you start looking for a photographer… we promise you won’t be disappointed! Below are two of our favorites from his website!

How adorable are these boutonnieres?!  We simply had to borrow this inspirational photo from Krystal Radlinski’s blog.  After posting a comment for our latest “Real Wedding”, we definitely had to check out her blog. We are so happy we did! Of course this is just one of many fabulous posts… wait until you see her beautiful weddings and bridal photos. So, in the midst of all the bridal planning, don’t forget to think of your groom….hmmm which boutonniere would look great on him?  Or, use these as inspiration and create a style all your own! Real Wedding I: Jessica & John

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

jessica-real-wedding-1_page0001We’re thrilled to share today’s real wedding with you because it was not only a fabulous wedding to coordinate but also a stunningly beautiful wedding to be apart of!

Jessica and John’s wedding celebration was held on February 7, 2009 in the adorable little beach town called Carillon on the Emerald Cost of Florida.  Jessica, who is a kindergarten teacher and originally from Elma Georgia, has a love for children so it was important to incorporate children throughout the ceremony and reception.  Jessica’s childhood pastor performed the intimate ceremony, which brought a tear to everyone’s eyes! It was held in the Meeting House, a quaint White House with views of the water. It even had a Bell at the top that was rung by the children! The house only sat about 100 people so it was very intimate and filled with her closest friends and family!  It was absolutely beautiful!!

Following the intimate ceremony, guests made their way into 3 white tents. A dinner tent, a dessert tent, and an entertainment tent were all hooked together by sheer white drapes that flowed in the Florida breeze. The entertainment tent had large green lanterns and overstuffed beds with throw pillows for lounging. The dessert tent held a candy buffet, cupcake tower/cake with the bride’s grandparents cake topper on top whom have been married for 55 years and a huge Banana Puddin’ (as they bride would say) which was a surprise for the groom who fancies the dessert.

The décor for the wedding was created around a bright color palette as well as a unifying nautilus shell, which adorned everything from the custom labels found on the candy buffet to the menus and programs.  The vibrant tones and nautilus shell symbol reflected the tropical setting and carefree mood the couple succeeded in creating for their celebration. Every detail was thought of to express their personalities as well as the strong desire they had to give everyone an unforgettable experience!

Don’t worry, there’s more to come of this fabulous wedding….stay tuned!
