What’s harder than finding the perfect wedding gown? Finding the perfect bridesmaid dress! The best thing about today’s dresses is with the right style, the dress can be worn again and again. Of course, that is assuming the bride takes advice from this list of “Dos” and “Don’ts” The Knot.
DO remember not all bridesmaids have the same shape, hair color or skin tone. Look for something that is flattering on everyone.
DON’T forget to consider the financial aspect. Not everyone is on the same budget as the bride!
DO consider dress length. Formality typically dictates this decision, but there are numerous options! Long, ballerina-length, tea-length and cocktail!
DON’T jump on the “trend wagon” if it doesn’t work for the bridal party.
DO consider body types.
DON’T think the entire bridal party has to wear the same dress. A great trend is to choose the color and let each bridesmaid select the style.
Remember, while ultimately it is the bride’s big day, these gals are friends!
