Real Wedding:Amanda & Adam

amanda-and-adam-real-wedding_page000What happens when a chef and musician decide to get married?  An event to awe even the most critical eye is the order of the day!

The wedding planning began with  Amanda’s love for Halloween and The Wizard of OZ.  She originally wanted to walk down the “yellow brick road” but when the grassy park behind the museum became the Ceremony, our creative juices started to flow!

The color palette was no other than yellow, black and orange.  We incorporated their love for food and music by having a trombone monogram, great food, and lots of drinks! They wanted a “mod” feel to their wedding celebration to fit the museum’s surroundings so we created break up patterns on the dance floor and ceiling illuminating the perimeter of the room. We took a simple black and white dance floor and laid it out so that the center was white and the outside was an alternating pattern and attached a vinyl logo to it.  In lieu of a champagne toast we served lemon-cello in monogrammed shot glasses to match not only the color palette but also Amanda’s Italian heritage.

The music continued through the night with an after party at yet another local Denver museum and finally finished with the couple exiting in style…a black and yellow Rolls Royce!

Each detail of the celebration was captured by the AMAZING Jenna Walker-who we couldnt imagine the photography world without!

I love the salt and pepper with the little note! How adorable. Going back to your nautical inspiration board and my mention of Annapolis MD…what do you think about doing something similar with Old Bay seeing as how “Crab cakes and football…that’s what Maryland does!” (Wedding Crashers)
