Once the location was chosen, the decor was a no brainer! Playing off the elegance and beauty of Avila Golf and Country Club was a piece of cake. The bride decided on a neutral color scheme of ivory, champagne and blush pink. The result was an elegant feel with a hint of vintage flair. We have to give MAJOR credit to Jake (the groom). The couple did not hire a videographer, so he surprised his bride with a HD flip camera set up in the back. The entire ceremony was recorded and he gave it to her immediately following… all together now… awwww!!
A lot of personal touches went into the planning of the wedding. Family members were given vintage handkerchiefs for the ceremony imprinted with the couple’s names and wedding date. The bride’s cousins played saxophones during the outdoor cocktail hour. As they entered the reception, guests were directed to their seats by a table number featuring a photo of the couple at the corresponding age. Ivory and pink champagne linens set the stage for the simplistic beauty of a mixture of vases and flowers. Once dinner was over and the cake had been cut, the couple joined everyone on the dance floor for the Hora, a Jewish wedding dance where the bride and groom are lifted into the air on chairs! Guests left with a special treat… Avila’s “to-die-for” cookies (ok, we left with some too!). Alas, it was time to say farewell to the bride and groom.
